God Can Part the Sea for You by Richard Roberts

Richard Roberts No Comments »

What do you do when the attacks of life come?  Do you get into despair?  Do you focus on your inability to solve your problems, or do you focus on God‘s ability and His faithfulness to bring you through?

Don’t Discount a Miracle

In 2 Corinthians 4:8-9,  the apostle Paul speaks personally and gives us a picture of the dreadful problems he was going through when he said, We are troubled on every side, yet we’re not distressed; we’re perplexed, but we’re not in despair; we’re persecuted, but we are not forsaken; we’re cast down, but we’re not destroyed.

In other words, Paul was saying, “The attacks of life come to all of us.  But when you’re hit, don’t give up and don’t get into fear.  No matter how big or how bad the problem is, God is bigger!  Stand strong in your faith and declare, ‘My God will deliver me!’”

Isn’t that what Moses said when he stood at the edge of the Red Sea, with Pharaoh’s armies chasing him from behind?  He said, Stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord (Exodus 14:13).

Moses and the Israelites were surrounded by trouble on every side.  There was a roaring sea in front of them and a whole army of Egyptians thundering down on them from behind.

It seemed as if there was no way out, but God brought a great miracle.  He divided the waters of the sea so the people could walk across on dry land!

And in the midst of whatever problem you’re facing, God can do the same for you!

It’s Time To Wake Up by Richard Roberts

It’s Time To Wake Up

Richard:  Then God began speaking to my dad about the judgment that’s coming to those who will refuse to see the signs and turn away from their sins.  So make no mistake—that judgment is coming for America and for the nations of the world.

But judgment doesn’t have to be a bad thing.  It can be a good thing.  We can examine our own hearts and judge our own sins so that God doesn’t have to.

God wants to wake us up so we can get things right in our own lives, and then share the message of His love with those who have never heard it.

I’m excited!  Jesus’ coming is good news to all those who believe and trust in Him…those who will be caught up with Him in the air, to reign with Him forever (1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 paraphrased).

So look for the signs!  Wake up and get prepared!  Examine your heart and ask God to help you get rid of anything in your life that is unlike Him.  Then share the salvation message with those around you.

And here’s something very important to remember…God specifically told my dad that we are not to get into fear over what’s coming.  We are to trust Him, be prepared for Jesus’ return to the earth, and share the good news that Jesus is coming soon.

Spreading God’s Message

I recently conducted a Healing Rally in England, where only a tiny percentage of the population attends a church of any kind.  Other rallies are in the planning stages, and God is speaking to me about other nations where we must go and take the message of Jesus’ soon return to the earth.

On Thursday, October 7, we began airing The Place for Miracles, a weekly 30-minute program on ABC Family network (6:30 a.m. Eastern and Pacific times).  With the help of our friends and Partners, every week we now have the opportunity to reach a potential 81 million households with the life-changing message of the Gospel!

We are also in the process of expanding the Abundant Life Prayer Group’s ability to answer more telephone calls that ever before.  Every day we receive more than 2,000 urgent calls for prayer.  That number is increasing ever day.  And with our current outdated phone system, we are missing many of those important calls from people who desperately need someone to agree with them in prayer for a miracle.  We have to do better and we know it.

We are working in every way we know how to take God’s saving, healing, delivering message of the Gospel to the nations…because we’re gearing up for the great harvest of souls that will come to know Jesus in these last days.

I believe the time is short, and compared to the numbers of people still to be reached with the Gospel, the laborers are very few.

You Can Play a Part in the

End-Time Harvest of Souls.

I encourage you to plant your seed of faith today and request a copy of Wake Up! Jesus Is Coming Sooner Than You Think, which includes my dad’s vision, along with a prophetic word of confirmation and interpretation from evangelist Kenneth Copeland. You may want to order copies for your friends and family as well.

When you plant your seed, not only will you be helping us reap a harvest of souls for eternity, but I believe God can bring the harvest of miracles you need in your own life and the lives of your loved ones!

Jesus Is Coming Soon by Richard Roberts

In Amos 3:7 the Bible tells us, Surely the Sovereign Lord does nothing without revealing his plan to his servants the prophets.  And recently I believe God did just that when He revealed a “wake-up” vision to my dad of what He’s about to do in the earth.

God is sending us signs—or wake-up calls—as His Word said He would:  I [God] will show wonders in heaven above and signs in the earth beneath: blood and fire and vapor of smoke…before the coming of the great and awesome day of the Lord.  And…whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved (Acts 2:19-21 NIV).  God wants us to be prepared for Jesus’ coming!

Through His vision to my dad, God is giving us an opportunity not only to know what’s coming so we can be prepared personally and in our own families, but also so we can help wake up others and lead them to salvation and eternity with the Lord.  He told us in 2 Peter 3:9 that He is not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

The following is just a small portion of what God revealed in a vision to His servant Oral Roberts.  I encourage you to read and pour into your heart this important message of love from God.

The Vision

Oral:  In the midst of the turmoil, the fear, the anxiety that’s in our nation and in our world, I heard the voice of God.  I’ve heard that voice many times, and there’s no way I can fail to understand that it’s His voice because I’m familiar with it.

I heard it, and then I saw with my eyes something I’d never seen.  Suddenly in the clouds in the skies above New York City and the eastern part of the United States, I saw something which hung there for quite some time.  Then it spread out across America without touching the ground.  And then God defused it and moved it away from America.

What did I see?  I saw something coming down from above: smoke and vapor and blood, or it looked like that to my spiritual eyes.  There it was, hanging so huge until it almost blotted out the sky.

Instantly I thought about 9/11, when terrorists attacked the United States.  I remembered the fear that struck my heart, and I knew that this was a preview of things similar to it that were going to happen.

Now in my vision I saw this thing hovering and great changes coming to where I couldn’t miss it.  And then I heard…the sound coming into my ears penetrated my whole being.

Encouragement Can Mean Everything by Oral Roberts

Vaden loved God but had never accepted Christ as his Savior.  Once, after I had begun my healing ministry, I was in the middle of a service and saw a man come walking down the aisle toward me.  As he got closer, I realized it was Vaden.  He threw his arms around me and began weeping, saying, “Oral, I want to accept Christ…and I can’t wait until you finish preaching!”

Vaden was gloriously saved that night.  I was able to help lead my brother–who had spoken such encouragement into my life–into the greatest miracle of all, eternal life.

The last time I saw Vaden he said, “Oral, I’ve got to go,” as he pointed upward.  “You know what that means, don’t you?  I’ll meet you on the other side.”  I said, “Yes, Vaden.  I’ll meet you there because we both have Jesus and eternal life.”

The Power of Your Words

Many people don’t know the power of encouragement, especially to someone who is sick or hurting in some way.  The Bible teaches that the words we speak can be a powerful source for bad or for good.  According to Proverbs 18:21, Death and life are in the power of the tongue.  Let’s make the words we speak a source of good to those around us.

Encouragement can mean everything to your life.  I know.  Because it meant everything to me.

Encouragement Can Mean Everything! by Oral Roberts

Lindsay Roberts, Richard Roberts No Comments »

My older brother Vaden recently went to be with the Lord.  When I was asked to preach at his funeral service, I began to think back on our lives together as brothers.  Precious memories flooded my mind.

I was blessed to be born into a family with parents who really loved me and loved God with all of their hearts.  Vaden and I were the last children at home after our older brother Elmer and our sister Jewel got married, and we were especially close.

Something To Hold On To

Growing up, I was a stutterer, and I was often the object of other children’s ridicule.  In the midst of that, Vaden became my protector and encourager.

The hardest day of my life was the day I started school.  The teacher called on me to say my name.  I stood up and tried to say Granville Oral Roberts, but the words choked in my throat—I couldn’t get them out.  The children and the teacher laughed at me, and when they did a terrible thing happened on the inside of me.

But my brother Vaden led me outside the school and said some prophetic words to me:  “Oral, some day you’ll talk and you won’t stutter.”  Not only did Vaden protect me from the bullies, but he constantly spoke words of life to my mind and heart.  He gave me something to hold on to.

Destiny-Changers

At age 17 I was brought home from a basketball tournament in the final stages of tuberculosis.  My parents tenderly cared for me, and it was through their love and prayers that I came to accept Jesus as my Savior.

Later Jewel spoke words that gave me hope.  She said, “Oral, God is going to heal you.”  Then Elmer drove me to a healing service in a borrowed car.  He had to carry me inside because I had lost the power to walk.

When Rev. George Munsey laid his hands on me at the service and prayed the prayer of faith, suddenly my lungs opened up and I could breathe again!  Words began flowing out of my mouth, and for the first time, I could speak clearly!  I was gloriously healed!

During the next year, Vaden and others in my family spoke words of encouragement into my life, telling me that now I really could amount to something.  They believed in the call of God on my life.
