In a dirty garbage dump in Managua, Nicaragua, an estimated 400 families—2,000 precious human beings—make their home. They have no money to buy food, no access to needed healthcare or modern conveniences of any kind. They live in homes with dirt floors, tin roofs and sheets for front doors, never knowing what it’s like to live any other way. A road runs through the middle of the dump where drug deals and other crimes take place, as might be expected in any area dealing with such poverty and need.
Many living here have never heard the name of Jesus.
They do not know of His everlasting love for them. God sent His Son to die for them, and to set them free from their captivity to poverty, drugs, disease…or whatever the devil uses to hold them down. In April 2009 the Oral Roberts Ministries in conjunction with Hunger Needs A Voice®, will provide a spiritual, medical, and food outreach to the people of Managua, including the precious people that live in the dump.
On a recent trip to several Central American countries, Richard Roberts and his team met with Nicaragua’s President Daniel Ortega. Appreciative of the help the Oral Roberts Ministries offers his country, President Ortega welcomed Richard Roberts and looks forward to attending Richard’s Miracle Healing Rally with his wife. As part of the Healing Rally, Richard will bring in a medical team to treat people’s physical needs—which includes providing one million healthy, nutritious meals for hungry children.

285,000 nutritious meals to the needy in Haiti
285,000 nutritious meals to the hungry in El Salvador
285,000 healthy meals to the malnourished in Niger
40-foot containers to Nicaragua and El Salvador containing meals, dried fruit, and oats for those in need of food
The need in Nicaragua is great and even the government’s resources can’t begin to solve the entire problem. But with the support of our friends and Partners, there’s a lot we can do to help our brothers and sisters there.
