“I continued to pray and sow seed, but it seemed like nothing was changing…”
As a single mom, I’m responsible for all of my family’s needs. So when the school where I was teaching closed and I lost my job, I was devastated. I knew God was my provider, but I just didn’t know where the money to pay our bills would come from.
Then I found The Hour of Healing on TV one night, and I started watching the show regularly. I learned about sowing seed to the Lord and expecting a miracle return, and that’s what I began to do. Pretty soon, I called the Abundant Life Prayer Group to join with me in prayer. I received a prayer cloth and anointing oil from the ministry that Richard Roberts had prayed over, and I began to use them as a point of contact to release my faith for a new job.
It wasn’t long before I heard about a teaching position at a new school. I needed work right away, so I accepted the job even though it paid only 50% of what I’d been making before. But I continued to sow seed, and I began to pray the Prayer Cover Scriptures that I’d received from the ministry over our family—all the time believing God had a better plan for me.
Soon I got a call about another position that had opened up. That salary was almost $5,000 more than what I’d made on my first teaching job! I believe God made a way for me where there was no way, and I got the job. Even better, after my first year, they renewed my contract and I got a $5,000 raise!
As all this was happening, my young son Brandon was having trouble in school. Although he was very bright, he’d struggled with behavioral problems for quite a while. Teachers, psychiatrists, and school psychologists had recommended everything from special education classes to medications. But I really believed God had something else in mind for Brandon.
So I continued to pray and sow seed, but it seemed like nothing was changing. Still, I refused to give up on my son. When he began sixth grade, things began to improve slowly. This ray of hope strengthened my faith to press on for God’s best for Brandon. Once again, I called the ALPG to agree with me for a miracle.
Praise the Lord, by the end of that school year, not only had he made the honor roll for the first time in three years, but he even received a citizenship award! I believe that because of the prayers and support of Richard Roberts ministry, we received a double miracle for our family!
